Mission and Vision

Mission Statement

The mission of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP) is to provide a foundation of support for osteopathic pediatricians, through education, outreach and advocacy, to promote the health and well-being of pediatric patients from infancy to young adulthood, and their families.  

Vision Statement:

The vision of the ACOP is to serve as the preferred professional membership organization for all osteopathic pediatricians.

Vision Fulfillment Statements:

  • To speak on behalf of osteopathic physicians regarding policies and social issues focusing on the health and well-being of all children.
  • To provide high quality, member responsive CME programming to allow members to maintain certification in osteopathic pediatrics.
  • To serve members through a collegial organization that is sensitive to the professional needs of osteopathic pediatricians; that is based on the principles of integrity, ethical conduct and inclusiveness; and demonstrates a regard for tradition.
